Key accomplishments

Hi my name is Will Talbott and I’m a Senior at Wakeland High School and a team captain of the Wakeland Varsity tennis team. I am a multi-sport athlete (basketball, football, soccer) specializing in tennis. My father and grandfather are former D1 collegiate tennis players (University of Kansas and University of Oklahoma). Specifically my father competed in top level tournaments that included the likes of Pete Sampras, Andre Agassi, Jim Courier & Michael Chang just to name a few. I am a former ranked USTA Texas Champ Level player, Wakeland High School Varsity letter winner and have earned multiple Singles & Doubles Frisco ISD/area 1st and 2nd place finishes. When I am teaching tennis, I utilize the skills and techniques I have learned from many accomplished coaches including those in my family, offering me insight in how to help different levels of players in many areas from techniques to tactics to fitness and nutrition. I have experience teaching tennis to youth ages 5 and up. I incorporate a collaborative teaching style that focuses on basic learning principles and individual growth. I can also provide access to a network of other high level players and active tournament competitors to improve their overall skills and reinforce teaching principles. Also in school I'm involved with PALS (Peer Assistance Leadership), American Red Cross Club (President), FCA and NHS. When I'm not playing tennis or at school, you will find me playing pick-up basketball with my friends, volunteering with YMSL, watching football and basketball with my family (I'm a diehard Seattle Seahawks and Kansas Jayhawk basketball fan) and playing video games or hanging out with my twin brother and friends.
